It’s almost Christmas once again – a time for joy and a time to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. It has been a difficult year for all and for some even more difficult than we can imagine. Last year we felt moved to pass along some of God’s blessings to others. This year we’re doing it again.
As a computer service company, our way to do this is to refurbish donated desktop computer systems and laptops and give them away to those who don’t have a computer or who are struggling financially and could use a computer for their children.
We do it anonymously, like a “Secret Santa”, so that the family (or individual) would only know they received a gift. If possible, we put the box on their doorstep, ring the doorbell and leave without being seen—just like Santa.
Each computer comes with a monitor, keyboard and mouse and the OpenOffice suite installed.
How Can I Help?
We need YOU to let us know if there is a family or individual in your life who could really use a free computer. (i.e. They are struggling financially and need a computer for themselves or their children)
Please send us the following information we will need to know to NeedComputer@CountryRoadComputer.ca :
- The individual or family’s names so we can prepare a Christmas card for them to go with their computer—There will be no indication of who it is from including us.
- Their street address (They must be in Wheatland County) where the computer will be delivered to.
What Happens Then?
Depending on demand we can’t promise everyone will get a computer but we’ll try. If there are more submissions than computers, we will select the recipients and notify you if the individual or family is selected. We will never contact the recipient–after all this is supposed to be a surprise gift!
On Christmas Eve, we will anonymously deliver the computer systems to their doorsteps.
To allow time for us to prepare and gift-package the computers, please let us know no later than December 15th. Again, all information is strictly held in confidence.
Thank you All!
